Learning a musical instrument can be both relaxing and fulfilling at any age.
Back in the 60’s / 70’s I was a professional touring musician in various soul and prog rock bands playing keyboards which was totally amazing.
Since those days, I’ve calmed down a fair bit and now mainly play gentle relaxing piano pieces which I write myself.
But to get fulfilment, you don’t have to reach a professional standard. It can be fun, relaxing and fulfilling at any level and any age. In fact for the elderly it can even help beat loneliness.
